Job Description

We are seeking a professional, dependable, and knowledgeable Certified Driver Training Instructor to provide classroom and/or behind-the-wheel instruction while assisting with the administrative operations of our driver education program. The ideal candidate understands that successful driver education involves both excellent instruction and careful adherence to state requirements, documentation, deadlines, and student records. Responsibilities Provide professional driver education instruction to students Conduct behind-the-wheel instruction as assigned Assist students throughout the driver education and licensing process Clearly explain applicable rules, regulations, requirements, and next steps Maintain accurate student records and instructional documentation Complete required paperwork accurately and within established deadlines Assist with scheduling students and maintaining program records Monitor completion of required instructional hours Communicate with students and parents regarding program requirements Assist with general administrative duties associated with the driving school Follow all applicable Michigan driver education requirements and program policies Maintain appropriate records for audits and regulatory reviews Qualifications Must currently meet applicable certification requirements to work as a driver education instructor in Michigan Knowledge of Michigan driver education rules, procedures, and licensing requirements Strong administrative and organizational skills Excellent attention to detail Comfortable maintaining files, forms, and student records Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional appearance, attitude, demeanor, and presentation Dependable and punctual Ability to explain regulations clearly to students and families Comfortable working with teens and beginning drivers Ability to complete paperwork and documentation promptly We are particularly interested in someone who can become a dependable part of the program rather than simply provide occasional driving instruction.
Pay:
$26.81 - $32.28 per hour
