Job Description

The On-Call Trip School Bus Drivers safeguard students during transport to and from special events, and while loading and unloading from buses. School Bus Drivers regularly check the vehicle to ensure safe operating conditions, and that students are greeted with a friendly and welcoming smile. No experience is needed. Paid Training and CDL testing. This is a 10-month on-call position. Hours Monday through Saturday Hours may vary depending on the trip and inclement weather Pay $20.49 - $25.72 per hour (based on relevant work experience) Job Duties Maintain the safe and appropriate behavior of all riders by established guidelines. Assess incidents, complaints, accidents, and/or potential emergencies (e.g. road hazards, medical emergencies, accidents, etc.) Assists students and other passengers with safe loading and unloading from buses during transport and emergencies. Perform routine cleaning on both the interior and exterior to ensure the safety, appearance, and sanitation of the vehicle. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g. gauge levels, exterior condition, etc.) to meet safety operation standards. Prepare written and verbal reports within the requested deadlines. (e.g. field trip reports, incident reports, inspection records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, routing information, etc.) Requirements Must have a current Missouri Driver's License, with a clean driving record. Commercial Driver's License - Class B (CDL-B) required, with passenger & air brake endorsements, and Missouri School Bus Permit, or willingness to obtain. (TRAINING

) Must be 21 years of age or older. Must pass a pre-employment background check. (DOT physical exam, drug test, and criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance)
