Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL Instructor and play a vital role in shaping the next generation of professional commercial drivers! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will deliver comprehensive behind-the-wheel training to aspiring truck drivers, ensuring they meet all safety standards and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help students develop essential skills in commercial truck driving, tractor-trailer operation, and adherence to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. This role offers the opportunity to inspire confidence, promote safety, and contribute to the transportation industry's future success. Duties Provide hands-on instruction in truck driving techniques, including manual transmission operation, air brake systems, and tractor-trailer maneuvers Assess student progress through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance their driving skills Prepare students for licensing exams by teaching test-taking strategies aligned with CDL (Commercial Driver's License) requirements Ensure all training activities comply with federal and state safety standards and company policies Maintain detailed records of student attendance, performance assessments, and training progress Stay current with industry regulations related to commercial driving, traffic laws, and safety protocols to deliver accurate and up-to-date instruction Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including tractor-trailer operation and bus driving with a strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations Prior experience in commercial driving instruction or adult education is highly desirable Familiarity with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards for commercial vehicles Knowledge of air brake systems, manual transmissions, and Class A CDL requirements Classroom teaching experience that demonstrates the ability to engage adult learners effectively Strong understanding of trucking industry best practices related to safety, vehicle maintenance, and regulatory compliance Valid CDL Class A required This role is perfect for motivated professionals passionate about sharing their expertise while fostering safe driving habits.
