We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated School Bus Driver Trainer to help train, develop, and support the next generation of professional school bus drivers. Position Overview The School Bus Driver Trainer is responsible for providing high-quality classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to new and current drivers. This position plays an important role in ensuring that all drivers are properly trained, compliant with New York State regulations, and fully prepared to operate school buses safely and professionally. Key Responsibilities Train new hires to obtain and maintain a CDL Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel driver training Evaluate driver performance and provide coaching, guidance, and feedback Ensure compliance with New York State Article 19-A regulations and company policies Assist with road tests, pre-trip inspections, and required safety procedures Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver training records Conduct retraining and refresher courses as needed Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism Support employee onboarding and recruiting efforts when needed Work closely with management to identify training and development needs Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications & Requirements Valid CDL Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements

• Required (at least 2 years) 19-A Certified Examiner
• Preferred SBDI (School Bus Driver Instructor) Certification
• Preferred Clean driving record with a strong safety history Previous school bus driving experience required Previous driver training or instructor experience strongly preferred Knowledge of New York State school bus safety regulations and compliance requirements Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills Ability to effectively train and motivate individuals with varying levels of driving experience Reliable, punctual, professional, and highly accountable Skills & Competencies Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and compliance Goal-driven and results-oriented Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Team player with a positive and professional attitude Takes initiative and demonstrates leadership Adaptable in a fast-paced environment Benefits Health Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Flexible Work Schedule NYS Retirement Savings Program Additional benefits as outlined in the employee benefits package Join Ontario Bus Inc.
