The Driving Instructor position offers a fantastic chance for teachers, bus drivers, recent college grads, coaches, or anyone looking to make a real difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities Include:

• Adding to our culture and mission of authenticity, inclusivity, and safety in all the ways that students should feel safe
• Delivering content and teaching practical skills related to all aspects of vehicle operation and driving
• Providing high levels of customer service and support in person, on the phone, and through written media
• Communicating with students and their families (i.e. set and keep behind the wheel appointments, convey progress and suggestions for further development, etc.)
• Using a smartphone and tablet to manage tasks, records, and calendars
• Documenting and reporting students progress
• Maintaining control of the vehicle during emergency situations
• Delivering content and instruction in the classroom, as needed

Education/Experience:

• Undergraduate degree or combination of high school diploma/GED and previous educational, training, and customer service experience required

Requirements:

• An ability to create and utilize effective organization and time-management processes, including the skills required to schedule and keep a calendar and to show up for appointments on-time
• A clean driving record, minimum 5 years of licensure, no more than 4 points on driver license, no OVIs or 12-point suspensions within the past 10 years
• No criminal record (must be able to pass an FBI/BCI background check)
• Ability to be licensed as a Driving Instructor by the State of Ohio
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
