Street Smart Driving School is growing and looking for dependable, patient, and personable individuals to join our team as Behind-the-Wheel Driving Coaches . No previous driving instructor experience is required — we provide training! This is a great part-time opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching, working with teens and adults, and helping new drivers become safer and more confident behind the wheel. Part-Time | Approximately 20 hours per week What You'll Do As a Behind-the-Wheel Driving Coach, you will work one-on-one with student drivers during scheduled driving lessons. Your role is to provide instruction, encouragement, and real-time feedback while helping students develop safe driving habits.

Responsibilities include:

Conducting behind-the-wheel driving lessons with students Coaching students on safe driving techniques and defensive driving habits Providing clear, calm, and professional instruction during each lesson Evaluating student driving skills and identifying areas needing improvement Documenting student progress following scheduled drive sessions Helping students build confidence in areas such as turns, lane changes, parking, intersections, traffic awareness, and roadway safety Following Street Smart Driving School procedures and Texas driver education requirements Maintaining professional communication with students, parents, office staff, and management Reporting safety concerns, incidents, or student-performance concerns when necessary Completing required instructor training and continuing education Performing other driver education duties as assigned Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you are patient, dependable, comfortable working with students, and able to communicate instructions clearly. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Good driving history At least 3 years of licensed driving experience Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening Strong verbal communication skills Ability to remain calm and professional while coaching inexperienced drivers Dependable transportation and reliable attendance Ability to work effectively with students, parents, coworkers, and management Preferred Qualifications Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply Previous teaching, coaching, training, mentoring, education, or customer service experience is helpful but not required Experience working with teenagers or young adults is a plus Why Join Street Smart Driving School?
