A Driving Instructor is responsible for teaching students the rules of the road and the safe way to handle an automobile or motorcycle. This may involve both classroom and/or behind the wheel instruction. They are required to remain up to date with their regional and national traffic laws to insure proper curriculum and demonstration. Some inform their students on the process to obtain a valid driver's license in their region or nation.
San Benito, Texas A+ CDL Academy is looking for a professional CDL Instructor who is passionate about helping students succeed and committed to maintaining the highest standards of training, safety, and customer service. This position is for an instructor, not just a truck driver. If you are impatient, take shortcuts, struggle with customer service, or simply want a paycheck, this is not the position for you. Minimum Qualifications Valid Class A CDL Minimum 3 years of recent Class A CDL driving experience Experience operating manual transmission commercial vehicles Clean and professional appearance Strong communication skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to remain patient and professional under pressure Ability to pass background and driving record checks Preferred Qualifications Previous training, coaching, mentoring, or teaching experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) Experience teaching manual transmission and backing maneuvers Experience working with entry-level drivers What We Value Most We can teach procedures.
