A Driving Instructor is responsible for teaching students the rules of the road and the safe way to handle an automobile or motorcycle. This may involve both classroom and/or behind the wheel instruction. They are required to remain up to date with their regional and national traffic laws to insure proper curriculum and demonstration. Some inform their students on the process to obtain a valid driver's license in their region or nation.
To provide MANDT training to Elk Hill staff as needed or required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain an active MANDT Instructor certification, including the latest updates Provide training and coaching to Elk Hill staff Ensure MANDT training is offered once a month in your assigned region Communicate course evaluations with the Sr. MANDT Instructor Ensure that Trauma Informed Care is being implemented across the organization Attend quarterly meetings to review the effectiveness of the MANDT system across the entire organization Communicate effectively with Human Resources about training dates, times, and locations to enter into the Learning Management System (LMS) Consult with the Sr. MANDT Instructor directly regarding any questions that may arise about implementation of restraints Other duties as assigned
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Responsible to the Sr. MANDT Instructor and Human Resources Communicate closely with staff in other programs
QUALIFICATIONS
Possess a MANDT Instructor certification Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to articulate ideas verbally and in writing with a wide variety of audiences as a facilitator or presenter (in person, online, webinars, and conference calls) Experience providing technical assistance, consultation, training, and support to Elk Hill staff
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Good physical health Ability and willingness to physically perform all functions of the facility's Behavior Management Program at a mastery level Ability to traverse inside and outside of the property, or other locations, including uneven terrain or stairs Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Periods of standing to provide instruction to staff Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds, regularly lift up to 10 pounds
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Periodic travel to other locations as needed or required
Pay:
