Job Description

Position Description The Entrepreneurial Management Unit of Harvard Business School seeks candidates for full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor positions starting July 2027. Applicants should be new or recent graduates with a strong record in a doctoral program. Qualifications The ideal candidates will conduct research influencing both academics and practitioners. Candidates with formal training in economics, sociology, finance, strategy, organization theory, psychology, as well as inter-disciplinary candidates, are encouraged to apply. Research interests should include one or more of the following: entrepreneurial finance and organization; emerging industries and technologies; innovation; or financing ventures and growth. Application Instructions Applicants with a background in economics or finance should submit a complete job packet by 11:59 pm Monday, November 9, 2026. Job packets must contain a cover letter specifying that you are applying for the "EM Unit", current CV, three letters of reference, and job market paper (identified as such).
