Job Summary Estrella Mountain Community College's (EMCC) Career and Transfer Center are seeking individuals to join our team as Peer Leaders. Peer Leaders serve as the first point of connection for students visiting the Career and Transfer Center. hrough welcoming, student-centered service, Peer Leaders assist students in navigating enrollment processes, accessing campus resources, building connections, and developing the confidence and skills needed to succeed in college.   • Student Support and Service Delivery Provide support to students through individual and group interactions, assist with student success initiatives, share information and resources, and help connect students with services and opportunities that support their educational, career, and personal goals. 25%
  • Outreach, Programming, and Community Engagement Assist with the planning, promotion, coordination, and delivery of workshops, events, presentations, outreach activities, and engagement initiatives. Represent the department at campus and community functions as appropriate. 15%
  • Administrative Operations and Department Support Support daily departmental operations through administrative tasks, resource development and maintenance, communications, project support, record keeping, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Federal Work Study Eligible High School Diploma or GED Minimum of six (6) college credit hours completed AND enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours in fall and spring Desired Qualifications Experience providing direct front-line customer service. Experience with EMCC programs, services, and resources is preferred. Special Working Conditions This position is 100% on campus and is not eligible for remote work. FWS does not directly pay for tuition, and funds are only available to eligible students attending a minimum of six (6) degree applicable hours in a federal student aid eligible program. The FWS award amount is based on your FAFSA results and college funding availability, which will determine the number of hours available to work while supporting the students academic goals.
