STATE PARK SUPERINTENDENT III/ PERMANENT FULL TIME /ORANGE COAST DISTRICT/ SOUTH SECTOR
The reporting location for this position is the Orange Coast District South Sector Office located within San Clemente State Beach.
This position will work under the supervision of the District Superintendent and will be a member of the District CORE team. This is a very diverse assignment that will address challenges including direct supervision of numerous staff, law enforcement/emergency response, disaster preparation and response, working with outside agencies, preparing Incident Action Plans, managing complex programs, intense visitation, etc. This position requires excellent communication and problem solving skills and the successful candidate must have a willingness to learn, flexibility, and a commitment to providing high quality services to the public. Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required. Attire should include a full duty uniform including badge and necessary POPE equipment as dictated by assignment or project. For occasions where the wearing of a uniform may not be necessary the incumbent shall wear, at a minimum, collared shirt, clean and appropriate long pants or slacks, socks, and closed toed shoes which provide protection for the wearer in the work environment.
