Campus Aide Lead Candidate Profile:
Spiritually, the candidate shall: Possess a strong, clear Christian testimony Be an active member of his/her church Accept without reservation the school's Statement of Faith and Philosophy of Christian Education Possess an awareness of God's calling to the ministry of Bethany Christian School and be in agreement with the vision and mission of Bethany Church Live a lifestyle of biblical integrity and maturity Professionally, the candidate shall: Be computer literate Possess good communication skills in writing, listening, and speaking Demonstrate integrity in dealing with confidential school matters Provide input and constructive recommendations for administrative and managerial functions of the school Set an example using the Matthew 18 principle when dealing with students, parents, faculty, and administration Recognize the role of the parent as primarily responsible for their children's education and be prepared to assist them in that task Personally, the candidate shall: Maintain an appearance of cleanliness, modesty, and good taste Demonstrate the ability to listen and respond to counsel Endeavor to represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to the constituency and general public Respond in appropriate ways and exhibit appropriate interpersonal behavior Notify the administration of any policy he/she is unable to support Make an effort to appreciate and understand the uniqueness of the community
Job Purpose:
The purpose of LionsGate is to provide a safe, fun, and productive after-school program for our students.
Safe:
physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Fun:
The environment should be fun and inviting. Students have spent the day in a structured and demanding classroom. LionsGate should provide a loose structure that allows the students to have fun. LionsGate should not be stressful.
Productive:
LionsGate should provide opportunities for students to complete their homework in a low-stress and supportive environment. The environment for LionsGate should develop the students' spiritual, academic, social, and physical growth and maturity.
Essential Job Requirements:
Exhibit being a Christian Role model to motivate, teach, and help students understand a biblical worldview Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations of the school Enforce playground and LionsGate rules and procedures Monitor student movement in LionsGate Maintain appropriate staff/student relationships to build trust, foster positive development, and a positive self-image Work with the teachers and the Head of School by keeping them informed of disciplinary issues Establish positive relationships and work cooperatively with all staff members Ensure students are properly checked in and checked out of the after-school LionsGate Provide support such as clean up and set up or other necessary jobs Help parents by building positive communications in support of the school and its policies Encourage parents to address concerns or criticisms with the appropriate teacher or administrator Comply with school emergency procedures by reviewing and practicing with other staff members Report issues and concerns to the
Campus Aide Lead or Head of School Qualifications:
At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma Previous experience working with children or teens in a similar program or project
Classification:
Part-time/hourly/non-exempt Work Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 2:50-6:00 Wednesday 1:50-6:00
Accountability:
Reports to the Lead Aide Reports to the Head of School for issues regarding student discipline Reports to the Head of School for all other issues included in this job description
Compensation:
$17.64-$18.18/hr depending on experience
