DESCRIPTION:
Perform administrative and technical activities related to supporting the Director of Special Education. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring general fund and grants revenues/expenditures, ensuring compliance with internal control procedures of program budgets, assisting with state reporting and compliance assists with the day-to-day support needs as well as managing the calendar appointments.
SALARY:
Classified Grade Q, $25.52 per hour to start, depending on recent relevant experience. 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday on the 12 month work schedule. Position is eligible for benefits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing budget for 4 funding streams including keeping up to date totals spent and left. Monitor and update TE spreadsheet. Ensure that staff are being paid out of the correct budget codes. Including ensuring alignment with HR, finance and payroll.
- Manage contracts and payment for contracted services and staff 10+ agencies per week.
- Process mileage, timesheets and P-card statements for special education staff across the district.
- Registrar for Students placed out of district or receiving home bound services.
Assist and support the Director with calendar, monitoring incoming calls, emails and projects. Screen visitors, emails and phone calls to assign to the correct staff. Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Requires ability to efficiently utilize Google Suite products to organize and complete tasks and projects. Must have Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Sheets and Excel.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent, plus post-secondary courses/area of study in office management, business or related area preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of experience with professional bookkeeping and/or accounting systems. In addition, must have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft/Google Suite, with an emphasis on Excel/Sheets. Links to
