Job Description

Overview We are seeking an energetic and visionary High School Principal to lead our educational community with passion and purpose. This dynamic role involves shaping a positive school culture, fostering academic excellence, and ensuring the holistic development of students. As the leader of our high school, you will inspire staff, engage families, and collaborate with stakeholders to create an environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your strategic leadership will drive continuous improvement, uphold high standards, and promote innovation in education. Responsibilities Provide strong leadership in curriculum development to ensure engaging, inclusive, and rigorous academic programs that meet diverse student needs. Oversee all aspects of education administration, including managing staff, supervising teachers, and supporting classroom excellence through effective management practices. Lead strategic planning initiatives to set clear goals for school growth, student achievement, and community engagement. Manage the school's budgeting process to allocate resources effectively while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Foster a positive school climate by promoting student well-being, discipline policies, and a safe learning environment. Engage in public speaking and community outreach to build strong relationships with parents, local organizations, and educational partners. Supervise staff performance evaluations, professional development programs, and mentoring efforts to cultivate leadership within the team. Drive fundraising efforts to support school programs, extracurricular activities, and facility improvements. Ensure compliance with educational standards and policies set by local authorities and accreditation bodies. Qualifications Proven experience in education administration with a demonstrated track record of senior leadership roles in schools or similar institutions. Extensive classroom teaching experience coupled with a deep understanding of curriculum development and instructional strategies. Strong management skills with the ability to supervise staff effectively and foster collaborative teamwork. Exceptional public speaking skills for engaging presentations to students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders. Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and fundraising initiatives that support school sustainability and growth. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations while promoting equity and inclusion. Knowledge of education policies, compliance requirements, and best practices in high school settings. MINIMUM EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field preferred and will be given first consideration. Additional coursework required for eligibility toward a Colorado Principal License is required or must be completed within an agreed-upon timeframe.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years of teaching and/or administrative experience in K-12 education.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, FORMAL TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Prior leadership experience in a secondary school setting, demonstrating an understanding of the developmental, instructional, and social-emotional needs of students in grades 9-12; Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations, including multilingual learners and culturally responsive teaching practices; Demonstrated work experience in supporting and coaching teachers on curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies; Bilingual proficiency preferred. Formal training, coursework, or professional experience that demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with bilingual students, families, and staff is highly valued
LICENSES & CERTIFICATION
Colorado principal licensure or eligibility for Colorado administrative licensure.
