Jul 1, 2027 Job Description Victory Christian Academy, a small Christian school in Indianola, is looking for an innovative, Christian leader to grow our school and inspire our students to deepen their walks with Christ and to excel academically. VCA currently serves students in preschool through sixth grade, but we look forward to adding grades. The applicant must be a born-again Christian, who is able to lead the staff and students spiritually, work with teacher professional development and professional learning communities, lead curriculum investigation and choices, and work with the Board toward continuous improvement.
Requirements include:
A personal commitment to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Affirmation of the Victory Christian Statement of Faith and Christian Lifestyle Hold or have the ability to obtain an Iowa administrator's license Ability to mentor, support, and develop effective teaching practices Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with students, parents, faculty, staff and the community Ability to build Christian community inside and outside the school Demonstrates organization, flexibility, patience, responsibility, servant leadership, and a willingness to learn and grow both professionally and spiritually Demonstrates high standards of professional practice and understanding of teaching and learning from a Christian perspective The current administrator plans to retire after the 2026-27 school year. However, knowing that new administrators often need experience with professional development and working with the Board, she is amiable to mentoring her replacement should that person request it. Therefore, we believe VCA just might be the place for an aspiring administrator to get started or a young retiree to serve our Lord in a new way.
