Immediately Job Description Head Junior High Boys Wrestling 2026-2027 School Year
Qualifications:
Provide leadership for the junior high boys wrestling team while aligning instruction and expectations with the overall wrestling program philosophy. Teach and reinforce wrestling fundamentals, proper technique, rules, conditioning, and age-appropriate strategies. Plan and conduct organized, purposeful practices that support skill development and prepare student-athletes for competition. Promote a safe, inclusive environment that prioritizes proper technique, injury prevention, athlete well-being, and sportsmanship. Foster a positive team culture centered on effort, confidence, accountability, growth, and teamwork. Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, school staff, and other wrestling coaches. Encourage participation and support the continued growth of girls wrestling at the junior high and high school levels. Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, travel, and other team activities. Follow all school district, conference, and athletic association policies, including requirements related to eligibility, weight management, and competition. Model professionalism, integrity, and respect while supporting student-athletes' academic, personal, and athletic development.
