REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a Principal Endorsement (recommended) (ELIS page print out submitted with application) Master's degree in Educational Administration (preferred) Minimum of four years of successful teaching experience at the elementary and/or middle school level, and/or at least two years of administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of both Danielson Teacher Evaluation (recommended) Demonstrated expertise in instructional best practices, school improvement strategies, change management, student assessment systems, technology integration in the curriculum, and effective public relations and community engagement

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to communicate well and to apply leadership skills within a shared decision-making model Ability and willingness to follow directions given and to perform assigned duties in accordance with applicable guidelines, policies and procedures. Implement school-wide discipline program, track and report disciplinary outcomes Sound educational philosophy and instructional competence. Participate and/or present in professional development activities. Participate and/or present in school improvement activities. Experience with a diverse student population. Daily supervision of students including lunchroom supervision. Implementation of student assessment instruments (ie. MAP, IAR, etc.) Assist with supervising and evaluating personnel. Other duties as assigned.
