Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday
- Friday (Set shift: 8:30 AM
- 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM
- 6:00 PM) with a 1-hour lunch break.
No alternative shifts available. About the Role Primrose School of Blue Valley is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Operations & Admissions Coordinator to join our leadership team! In this role, you will collaborate with another Assistant Director and our Curriculum Directors to maintain a warm, caring culture that promotes a healthy work-life balance. This is not just a desk job. You will balance administrative leadership at the front desk with active, daily support in our 11 classrooms (serving up to 180 children from Infants through Kindergarten). You will be a vital pillar of support for our staff, families, and children.
Key Responsibilities School Operations:
Manage the daily operations of 11 classrooms; execute daily leadership checklists; handle opening or closing procedures (including stepping in to open the building if the opening Director is off).
Enrollment & Parent Relations:
Conduct school tours for prospective families to ensure maximum enrollment, host parent-teacher orientations, and manage student transition letters.
Classroom Support:
Step into classrooms daily to cover staff breaks, maintain state ratios, and support teachers in classrooms ranging from Infant to Kindergarten.
Compliance & Admin:
Maintain accurate staff files, oversee KDHE recruitment paperwork, manage cost controls, and comfortably utilize school computers and management apps.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Must hold a college degree (any discipline).
Licensing:
Must meet all Assistant Director qualifications as stipulated by the Kansas state licensing agency (KDHE).
Experience:
Previous teaching experience in a licensed childcare center is required . Proven experience working with parents and a demonstrated ability to train and supervise staff.
Core Competencies:
Strong ability to build positive relationships with young children, staff, and management. Tech-savvy and adaptable to new software/apps.
Physical Standards:
Must be able to lift or squat up to 40-50 lbs. for child safety, program facilitation, and emergency situations.
