This position will assist students with admissions information, assessment, programming information, and early intervention strategies. In addition, the Success Coach will provide enrollment, advising, and registration information. The position will be in the Student Success Hub at the Elizabethtown campus and report to the Director of Student Success and Tutoring.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities will include:
  • Work closely with academic advisors and success coaches to assist students in creating realistic academic goals and strategies to achieve those goals.
  • Coordinate early alert outreach to at-risk students using programs like Starfish.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide students with information on subjects that lead to success such as goal setting, financial literacy, time management, classroom success skills, and others.
  • Refer students to academic support services and community resources as needed to overcome barriers to success i.e. Academic Advising, Tutoring, Family Scholar House, etc.
  • Evaluate current strategies and develop new outreach efforts to meet student needs.
  • Work closely with Family Scholar House staff and coordinate student services both academic and non- academic needs.
  • Prepare retention reports regarding student success.
  • Participate in registration/enrollment activities and campus wide events.
  • Teach FYE105 and related courses when required.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience. Typical years of relevant experience 4-6.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively on a team and independently.
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Strong organizational and people skills
