Job Description Boston University Summer Term Pre-College Program Office seeks an Interim High School Honors Program Manager starting in October 2026. This role is an opportunity to contribute to the success of the programs that welcome hundreds of high school students to campus each summer. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Academic Operations, the Interim High School Honors Program Manager (HSH PM) plays an essential role in the admissions processes and planning for the High School Honors program and overall office operations. The Interim HSH PM role will be responsible for all High School Honors related tasks while the current PM is on leave. Once the current PM returns, the interim PM will continue to serve on the team, providing general administrative support for the Summer Term Pre-College portfolio through the end of Summer 2027 programs. Requirements Primary Responsibilities Manage the full High School Honors admissions process, including application review, admissions and financial aid decisions, and transfer applicant evaluation. Monitor enrollment, residential capacity, and waitlists to achieve program enrollment goals. Review student course selections and prerequisites; advise students on appropriate course choices and manage schedule changes. Coordinate student registration and enrollment in university systems and communicate enrollment confirmations and updates to students and families. Track student registration requirements and payments and follow up on outstanding items. Support the processing and enrollment of international students in collaboration with campus partners. Collaborate with other Program Managers to develop activity schedules. Coordinate and book transportation, tickets, catering, and room reservations for relevant program activities. Collaborate and support the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of seasonal office support staff and BU student workers. Coordinate student data and enrollment reporting with campus partners, including the Registrar, Housing, Student Health Services, Student Financials, and the International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) to facilitate student onboarding and registration. Coordination of student onboarding and compliance requirements. Contribute to broader office planning and operations as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree; background in secondary or higher education is desirable but not required. Experience working in an educational setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to independently organize, prioritize, problem solve, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset and ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders including faculty, staff, and students. Strong customer service skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Facility with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred:
Master's degree in higher education or related field. Familiarity with Slate, other application platforms, or CRM systems. Experience in both higher education and high school settings. Position Details Part-time, 20 hours per week October 2026, shifting to full-time, 37.5 hours per week starting November 2026 Full-time position extends through mid-August 2027 when programs end $30 / hour
