James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn is hiring a full-time Assistant Program Director who will support our 21st Century Community Learning Center "After the Bell" programs. We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to support our After the Bell team in implementing an afterschool enrichment program according to grant requirements. Candidates should be interested in working with kindergarten through fifth-grade youth during the school year and summer programming. Responsibilities include program and curriculum development, staff management, parent and school communication, and administrative tasks. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work cooperatively and communicate with others. The 21st Century Community Learning Center programs focus on providing students with academic enrichment opportunities and other activities designed to complement school-day learning. Students participate in project-based learning, service learning, character education, recreation, and technology learning. Students are provided with homework assistance. Activities and projects are expected to enhance English Language Arts (ELA), the academic outcome being addressed in the program. The After the Bell Assistant Director will work with the After the Bell Director, school administration, and staff to align school day and afterschool activities while addressing specific academic and social-emotional needs of youth.
