Talent Garden Student Intern

SUMMARY Purpose of this position: This position is an entry-level job that is typically used for students to help them gain healthcare work exposure and work experience. This internship position is specifically for Health Equity Talent Garden Interns. The duration of the program will be 6

• 8 weeks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shadows physicians, dentists, advanced practice providers, nurses and other health professionals
• Enters data using a computer keyboard
• Searches for information contained in files or on a computer database
• Takes notes during rounds or meetings
• Types various documents and/or minutes of meetings
• Other duties may be assigned, after appropriate training

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, or current enrollment as a high school student
• No minimum work experience is required
• OR•An approved equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word/Excel/Outlook) and/or similar office environment software programs
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to relate to people of various backgrounds
