Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a School Age Care/Office Assistant Combo! This dynamic role combines the rewarding responsibilities of supervising and engaging children in school-age programs with essential administrative support in our school office. As a shcool age care teacher you will play a vital part in creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children while ensuring smooth daily operations. As an Office Assisant you will be responsible for providing routine and non-routine administrative support to the principal and other staff in the school. Ideal candidates are energetic, organized, and passionate about youth development, with a strong background in childcare and office tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while supporting our school's success.
Duties School Age Care:
Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring safety and positive behavior management Facilitate group activities, outdoor games, arts and crafts, and educational projects aligned with childhood development principles Communicate with families in a positive and confidential manner Works as a leader and team player with school age care staff and other building staff
Office Assistant:
Prepares, processes, and distributes a variety of correspondence, reports, information, paperwork, invoices, forms, and/or other information in the assigned area of responsibility; maintains records and databases including staffing, student records, attendance management, timesheets, and employee files; and prepares standard reports.
Performs reception duties including:
greeting visitors in person or over the telephone; answering phones and directing calls; responding to requests for information from students, staff, and/or the general public; maintaining visitor security procedures and standards, logs, and badges; and notifying staff of visitor arrivals.
Performs routine clerical duties including:
coordinating and distributing mail and packages; scheduling meetings, appointments, or activities; and filing, faxing, copying, and printing. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Support administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing schedules, maintaining records, and preparing program materials Experience 2 years of post-secondary education preferred Prior experience working with children in child care or youth programs is required Certification in first aid and CPR preferred Providing customer service Maintaining records and files Processing information utilizing established procedures Operating modern office equipment Operating a computer and applicable software applications Strong team leadership skills combined with teaching experience with young children or in youth programs.
