TERM OF EMPLOYMENT
Permanent, twelve months per year
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records for the school Competency in basic accounting methods Obtain quotes and authorization for orders Key requisitions to place orders Write SchoolFunds checks Receipt funds from teachers Make deposits Bank reconciliations Monitor and manage budgets and accounts Request budget transfer requests as needed to ensure no line items carry negative balances Monitor status of all outstanding orders Process invoices for payment timely Process leave requests for all employees Monitor classified timesheets for accuracy Ensure substitute time is submitted to payroll for processing Contact substitutes to cover classes as needed Meet with principal on a regular basis to discuss all financial reports and budgets Meet all financial deadlines Good public relation skills Ability to type and operate office equipment Competency in computer skills/operations Ability to learn, interpret, and explain policies, regulations, programs, and procedures effectively Ability to resolve problem situations Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external individuals Other duties as assigned
ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED from regionally or nationally accredited institution required Associate degree in accounting, business or related field preferred Three or more years bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience Three or more years experience and/or training using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or Google Sheets/Docs
