POSITION

Assistant Principal

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

North Carolina Principal's License (current or pending) Three or more years of successful teaching experience Strong instructional background and leadership skills Skills in building interpersonal relationships with students, staff, and parents Knowledge of curriculum, instructional strategies, and instructional data analysis. Skills necessary to assist in the development and implementation of all school programs

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the principal in developing, implementing, and evaluating the instructional program Support school leadership in analyzing student achievement data to improve classroom instruction Assist with student discipline and help ensure a safe and orderly school Meet with students, parents, and staff for the purpose of interpreting and administering school and system policies and programs Participate with the principal in the management of the school and school activities Supervise evening and after school activities, as needed Assume responsibility for the school in the absence of the principal Perform other duties as assigned
