Do you enjoy helping people, staying organized, and being the friendly face that keeps things running smoothly? Bismarck State College is looking for two Testing Services Office Assistants to join the Testing Services and Student Success team! In this role, you'll be an important first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, parents, and visitors. From welcoming students at the front desk to supporting exam administration and proctoring, you'll help create a positive, professional, and supportive testing experience from start to finish. What You'll Do Welcome and assist students and visitors by maintaining a friendly, organized front reception area and serving as the first point of contact for Testing Services. Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, faculty, and staff while supporting the efficient operation of Testing Services. Keep communication moving by preparing general correspondence and responding to telephone calls and emails. Support secure and successful testing by following tester intake procedures and proctoring a variety of exams. Maintain required proctoring certifications , with support from the Testing Coordinator as needed. Pitch in on special projects and assist the department wherever needed. Perform other duties as assigned or required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Good telephone etiquette. Ability to prioritize workload. Good interpersonal skills and excellent customer service skills in working with faculty, students, and the public. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent computer software skills - Microsoft Office, email, and excellent keyboarding skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Disciplined and able to maintain confidentiality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Good working knowledge of Student Affairs and Testing Services. Experience in a comparable position.
