Job Description

Concord UU is seeking a creative, organized, and reliable team member to serve as Program Lead for our Sunday morning Young Explorers Program for children 5-12 years old. Our ideal candidate has experience guiding children in a school or camp setting, OR at least two years of college level training in early childhood or school age education, OR equivalent lived experience. 5 hours per week, with 3.5 hours on Sundays (9:15 am to 12:45 pm) and 1.5 hours of flexible planning time. $125 per week
Requirements:
At least two years of college level training in early childhood or school age education, two years of work experience in a school/camp setting, or equivalent lived experience. Proven ability to communicate and work cohesively as a team with other staff and volunteers. Able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of children and parents. Willingness to take initiative and independently problem-solve. Willingness to work in multiple environments including inside our building classroom spaces and outside on our property utilizing our nature trails, natural playground, and grove clearing. A love for children and desire to see them explore, play, and grow. Ability to pass a background check. Proficiency in oral and written English. Able to communicate via text and operate confidently in Google Apps including Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, and Gmail. High School diploma or equivalent. Our ideal candidate will be willing to jump right in and lead a preplanned curriculum developed to guide children in the art of exploring themselves, their communities, the earth, and the world around them.
