Key Qualifications & Desired Background:
Experience supporting high-school-aged students, preferably in a special education or social-emotional/behavioral setting Compassionate, patient, and adaptable interpersonal style Ability to motivate and encourage students who may occasionally resist support Reliable transportation and ability to commute daily as needed Commitment to punctuality, particularly for scheduled bus rides Readiness to complete district Vector training immediately upon assignment
Core Responsibilities:
Greet student at the base location and accompany her on round-trip district transportation to a regional academy (travel time about 1 hour each way) Provide standby emotional support, companionship, and encouragement throughout the academic day Help the student complete courseworkprimarily focused on Historyupon return to the main campus On Fridays, attend a car detailing internship site to offer supportive presence and assistance as needed Participate in flexible campus-based duties when direct student support is not required
