Job Description
Student Success is dedicated to providing students with a dynamic student life experience that complements their curricular experiences and cultivates their intellectual curiosity. We work collaboratively with parts of the university to equip students with resources and opportunities that allow them to thrive both academically and personally. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging and help students succeed in an ever-changing world. The Student Success hub is our collaborative work space that houses several units under the Student Success umbrella. Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Student Office Assistant will be the first point of contact for visitors to the Student Success Hub, providing customer service to our internal and external clients. The Student Office Assistant will also be responsible for assisting in general office tasks and ad hoc projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet visitors who enter the office space and assist them with the check in process Notify appropriate staff member of guest arrival Provide general information to students and other visitors of Student Success areas Assist with picking up and dropping off mail and packages from mailroom Support with administrative tasks like printing, photocopying, and data entry Assist with inventory of office supplies Ad hoc projects as assigned by Director of Operations and Manager of Operations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled as a New School Student who qualifies for Federal Work Study Ability to provide a high level of customer service to our diverse community Ability to work a minimum of 7 hours per week during the hours of 9-5, Monday through Friday
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Enjoys problem solving Familiarity with navigating The New School's resources Ability to handle multiple tasks at once in busy environments Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills
WORK MODE
• On-Campus Position - Employees in this position are expected to work on-campus during regularly scheduled work hours due to the nature of the work being that which is not feasible, or not in the best interest of the organization, to be performed remotely. #
LI-DNI Hourly Rate:
