FWS Student Employees:
As a result of participating in the role of a student aide for EOP, students will be able to sharpen their computer skills, interpersonal skills and customer service skills at a professional level. Students will also acquire knowledge of how the EOP program functions and supports students.
Function of Position:
Provide clerical support for the front desk, especially during peak recruitment times for EOP pre-freshman bridge programs. This position is funded exclusively through Federal Work Study (FWS). Applicants must be approved by the Financial Aid Office for FWS eligibility prior to being considered for employment. If you are unsure of your FWS eligibility, please contact Financial Aid before applying. Applicants must include their M# in any correspondence with the Financial Aid Office.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide clerical support for the front desk by: Answering the phones Greeting and checking in students for appointments Calling/texting students for appointment reminders Scheduling appointments Assisting with mailings and filing Retrieving mail from the mailroom Maintaining the department Instagram page by uploading content approved by the EOP director. Draft flyers for special events and Instagram postings. Sanitize and organize workstations in lobby area. Restock supplies.

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Must have successfully completed at least one semester as a full-time matriculated student. Must be in Good Academic Standing with an overall GPA of C or better. Must have a clear understanding of the EOP program Must maintain confidentiality of any and all student-related files/documents/conversations
Preferred Qualifications:
Intermediate or advanced knowledge of managing social media accounts. Familiarity with Banner, MyMCC, Brightspace, and Starfish. Skilled in Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
