Immediately Job Description The Plain Local School District, Canton, Ohio, is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Principal - GlenOak High School. The Plain Local School's mission is providing the Plain community with exceptional education that is personalized, relevant and provides opportunities for students to create a better world through global understanding and respect. The District serves 5,700 students in 9 buildings and consistently performs above the state average in state testing. The Plain Local School District focuses on academics, arts, athletics, and partnerships and serves as the community hub in Plain Township. GlenOak High School has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report for 10 consecutive years as a Top High School in the United States. GlenOak High School offers the distinguished International Bacalaurete program as a full diploma programme or singular IB classes. The successful candidate must: Possess excellent listening, organizational and communication skills Be able to articulate a clear vision of district and building goals Be able to inspire others to seek success as part of a continuous improvement process Demonstrate understanding, fairness, consistency, and trust Develop and support collaborative, united and high performing teams Be visible and willing to be part of the Plain community Understand the role of cultures and tradition within the Plain community Possess the qualities to serve as a leader worthy of followers Be able to provide examples of data analysis Understand Ohio Learning Standards The successful candidate will be expected to provide evidence of and discuss previous highly successful leadership experiences with levels of expectations consistent to this opportunity. Candidates must possess or be eligible for an Ohio Principal's license. Salary for the position will be based on the Board adpoted salary schedule for Administrators.
