Immediately Job Description The Plain Local School District, Canton, Ohio, is seeking applicants for the position of Principal. The Plain Local School's mission is "Providing the Plain Community with exceptional education that is personalized, relevant and provides opportunities for students to create a better world through global understanding and respect." The district serves 5,700 students in nine buildings and is ranked among the highest performing schools in the Stark County area. The Plain Local School District has six elementary buildings and serves close to 2,000 students in the school district. The successful candidate must: Possess excellent listening, organizational and communication skills Be able to articulate a clear vision of district and building goals Be able to inspire others to seek success as part of a continuous improvement process Demonstrate understanding, fairness, consistency, and trust Develop and support collaborative, united and high performing teams Be visible and willing to be part of the Plain community Understand the role of cultures and tradition within the Plain community Possess the qualities to serve as a leader worthy of followers Be able to provide examples of data analysis Understand Ohio Learning Standards The successful candidate will be expected to provide evidence of and discuss previous highly successful leadership experiences with levels of expectations consistent to this opportunity.
