United States Description Assist principal in successful completion of his/her job targets. Use leadership, supervisory and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each middle school student. Help establish and maintain an effective middle school learning climate. Perform all duties of principal in his/her absence or as assigned. Help establish guidelines for proper conduct with appropriate consequences for inappropriate behavior. Help supervise and facilitate the teaching process. Help in the selection and supervision of building personnel. Supervise the daily use of facilities for both academic and nonacademic purposes. Keep abreast of changes and developments in the profession by attending meetings, reading professional journals and other publications, especially as it pertains to middle level education. Assist in development, revision and evaluation of the curriculum. Help plan, organize and direct school activities making provisions for proper supervision and safety. Other duties as may be assigned. Required Qualifications Applicant must hold a valid Oklahoma Elementary Principal's or Oklahoma Middle Level Principal's or Oklahoma Secondary Principal's certificate at the time application is filed.
