Job Description

Assistant Principal - Intermediate School We're seeking a collaborative and visionary Assistant Principal to help lead the Intermediate School and create a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement, and student success at Lebanon School District. In this role, you'll partner with the principal, teachers, staff, students, and families to strengthen instructional practices, support student achievement, and advance school-wide priorities. This is a 214-day administrative position.
What Success Looks Like:
Providing strong instructional leadership with a consistent classroom presence and high expectations for teaching and learning Coaching and supporting teachers in research-based instructional practices, differentiation, student engagement, and assessment Building a results-oriented, collaborative learning community focused on continuous improvement Using student and school data to identify needs, monitor progress, and improve outcomes Supporting the effective implementation of MTSS to address students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Building strong relationships with diverse students, families, staff, and community stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
Pennsylvania Department of Education Principal Certification Master's degree At least five years of successful teaching experience Three years of administrative or equivalent experience preferred Experience in urban schools and a demonstrated understanding of educational best practices preferred
Your Impact:
As our Assistant Principal, you'll have the opportunity to: Partner with the principal and instructional staff to develop and implement school improvement priorities aligned with district goals Conduct classroom observations and teacher evaluations while providing timely, specific, and actionable feedback Support implementation of the Lebanon School District curriculum with consistency, rigor, and appropriate vertical alignment Help plan and implement professional development and professional growth opportunities for staff Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local requirements related to testing and special education Support student discipline, attendance, safety, and other operational responsibilities Supervise teachers and departments as assigned by the principal Support teachers through coaching, feedback, modeling, and professional learning Serve as principal in the absence of the regular principal Help manage scheduling, budgeting, resources, transportation, facilities, and other school operations Support the coordination and supervision of guidance services and identify student needs requiring additional support
