JOB SUMMARY
The position of SFS Staff Coordinator (Student Financial Services Navigator) is a temporary, part-time, position with a three month appointment that operates in a hybrid work enviroment. The SFS Staff Coordinator (Student Financial Services Navigator) serves as a front-line student support professional, assisting students and families with financial aid, student accounts, billing, payment options, financial clearance, and enrollment readiness. This position provides exceptional customer service through phone, email, virtual appointments, and walk-in support. Responsibilities include helping students understand and complete financial aid requirements, resolving account-related concerns, exploring payment solutions, and connecting students with campus resources that promote successful enrollment, retention, and overall student success. This position requires a regular on-campus presence to support walk-in services, enrollment activities, and collaborative departmental operations, while also offering the opportunity to perform certain responsibilies remotely. The balance of on-campus and remote work will be determined by departmental and operational needs and may vary throughout the appointment period. Work schedules may include daytime, evening and weekend hours, as well as virtual advising, phone counseling, and participation in student- facing events. Schedule flexibility is required to ensure appropriate and responsiveness to student and departmental needs.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as a primary point of contact for students and families regarding financial aid, billing, student accounts, and payment options. Respond to student inquiries via phone, email, virtual appointments, and walk-in services. Assist students with FAFSA completion and financial aid processes. Help students complete outstanding To-Do List items, verification requirements, and required documentation. Review student accounts and identify barriers to financial clearance. Explain billing statements, payment deadlines, payment plans, and financing options. Educate students regarding grants, scholarships, federal student loans, Federal Parent PLUS Loans, private loans, and other funding resources. Assist students with navigating university systems and self-service platforms. Conduct outreach to students with outstanding financial aid or student account requirements. Partner with Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Admissions, Housing, Registrar, and Academic Advising to support student success. Refer complex issues to appropriate professional staff. Maintain accurate records of student interactions.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in customer service required. Experience in a college or university setting preferred. Experience in Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Admissions, Advising, or other student-facing roles preferred. Bilingual skills preferred but not required. Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn university systems. Reliable, professional, and mission-oriented. Ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan core values and mission of the University.
SALARY RANGE
