Resume Cover letter References (minimum of three) Purpose of Position Under the direction of the Associate Director for Experiential Learning, the Student Success Coordinator is responsible for the development and administration for experiential learning programs and curriculum for the UNIV courses and the Residential Learning Communities. The role will coordinate learning opportunities for project based learning and other special programs that foster the building of skills and competencies in students for career development. In addition, this position will focus on marketing and recruiting students for experiential learning opportunities and maintaining accurate tracking and reporting for programs.
Essential Functions Experiential Learning Program Administration:
Supports the experiential learning (EL) and Residential Learning Communities programs and administrative processes (recruiting, course enrollment, tracking and reporting, etc.). Develops and maintain marketing plan and design materials for RLC and EL programs, including social media, digital, print, website, and other avenues as needed. Facilitates Office of New Student Courses communication as it pertains to experiential learning in the UNIV courses and Residential Learning Communities. Represents Office of New Student Courses and the Experiential Learning and Residential Learning Community programs at student recruitment events. Develops and implement recruitment initiatives for RLCs to meet room assignment capacities in the residence halls.
Experiential Learning Program & Curriculum Development:
Assists the Assistant Director and Associate Director for Experiential Learning in developing experiential learning curriculum for specialized UNIV course sections and the Residential Learning Communities focused on UTA initiatives, specific academic majors, or affinity groups. Assists the Assistant Director and Associate Director for Experiential Learning with the Residential Learning Communities through developing on and off campus activities and events for program participants. Assists the Assistant Director and Associate Director for Experiential Learning in developing and training staff on curriculum that is project-based and major-related. Serves UTA special populations in partnership with the appropriate campus departments and colleges. Builds partnerships with other offices and departments on campus that will support experiential learning opportunities in the UNIV classroom.
Teaching and Student Employee Supervision:
Day-to-day supervision of Graduate Assistants and student employees, including regular communication, retention, on-going development and recognition of staff. Takes part in the recruitment and training programs for student employees. Teaches UNIV courses focused on experiential learning, student success and academic readiness topics. Performs other duties assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience with advising, student development and supervision, tutoring, supplemental instruction, first-year seminars, first-year programming, or other similar educational programs, OR seven (7) years of an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree with five (5) years of experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong Interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Supervisory skills.
