PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Flag Football Coordinator position will set up, manage, and supervise 4th & 5th Grade Co-Ed Flag Football events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Promote the philosophies, values and beliefs of the Walla Walla School District athletic program. Schedule all athletic contests, working with the District AD and Transportation to facilitate facility usage and transportation. Work with the District AD and building Principal to develop and implement a system for ensuring equipment, supplies, and uniforms are purchased and maintained to support the flag football program needs. Work with coaches to ensure that they all meet district coaching requirements. Work with the District AD, building Principal, and Facilities & Operations to maintain, develop, and monitor safe, attractive and adequate athletic facilities for games and practices. Work with the District AD to develop and implement an efficient and accurate registration system. Work with the District AD to hire, assign, and supervise coaches.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience as a coach. Demonstrated knowledge of current coaching strategies, techniques, rules, and regulations. Current CPR card and either a First Aid Card or documentation or equivalent sports medicine training. Demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model. Ability to communicate and work with students/athletes, parents, staff and community in an effective and positive manner. Evident of outstanding organizational skills. Licenses/Special Requirements Completed Employment Application/Background Check.
