Job Title:

Substitute Principal (K-12)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic administrative leader to serve as a Substitute Principal. In this role, you will step in during planned or temporary absences of school leadership to ensure continuous operational excellence, maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, and foster positive relationships across the school community.

Key Responsibilities

Daily School Operations:

Oversee morning arrival, dismissal, schedule management, and emergency response procedures to maintain a secure and orderly campus.

Instructional & Climate Leadership:

Support teachers and instructional staff in maintaining rigorous academic standards, effective classroom management, and a positive school culture.

Student Behavior & Well-being:

Address disciplinary matters and student needs using clear, compassionate, and restorative practices consistent with district policy.

Community Engagement:

Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, guardians, and community members during the principal's absence, ensuring open and transparent communication.

Staff Supervision:

Provide clear guidance, administrative support, and operational oversight to all school personnel throughout the duty period.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field.

Certification:

State Administrator/Principal Certification (active or eligible for substitute endorsement).

Experience:

Minimum of 3–5 years of successful administrative experience (as a Principal, Assistant Principal, or Dean of Students) or significant lead-teacher experience.

Skills:

Strong crisis management, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities.

Compensation:

$330 per full 8 hour day
