JOB TITLE

Open Gym•Fall

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB

Provide instruction and supervision in the gym area and to follow the policies and procedures of Campbell County School District.

REPORTS TO

Activities Director / Building Principal

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Formulate goals/objectives and programs for each student who participates in the gym. 2. Assume responsibility for all students that are in the gym area. 3. Keep accurate, up-to-date charts on all students who use the gym. 4. Promote the general health and welfare of each participant and give apropriate attention to injured and/or ill students under his/her supervision. 5. Communicate with coaches to develop specific programs for each participant. 6. Assume responsibility for the cleaning and maintenance of all equipment. 7. Develop and enforce gym conduct regulations in cooperation with the athletic director. 8. Perform other duties or tasks related to the open gym program as requested by the athletic director.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

AND MENTAL ABILITY

1. Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries course. 2. Knowledge of CPR and First Aide. 3. Have fundamental knowledge of the activity supervision. 4. Ability to select from a variety of instruction methods to teach activity objectives.

EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION OR FORMAL TRAINING

. Possess all certificates required for the State of Wyoming . Possess current CPR certification. . Possess current First Aid certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

. Able to lift 50 lbs and move it 50 feet. . Abillity to maintain visual contact with areas being used. . Ability to assist injured participants. . Ability to move various pieces of training equipment.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

. Occupationally exposed to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials based on tasks and procedures required. . Abillity to supervise in warm temperatures. . Tolerate noise and loud music.
