An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. We are committed to expanding our community and enhancing educational opportunities for all learners. Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic 2nd Grade Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will inspire young learners, create engaging lesson plans, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes academic achievement and character development. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help shape the future of our students and support their journey toward independence and confidence. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with state standards. Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Use diverse instructional strategies including technology integration, hands-on activities, and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations. Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful learning space. Teach Like a Champion experience preferred Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to support students' individual learning plans, including those with special education needs Incorporate early childhood education principles and early intervention strategies to support developmental milestones. Engage daily small group RTI centers to provide enrichment and intervention. Skills Proven experience in classroom management within a primary or elementary setting. Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Expertise in lesson planning across multiple subjects with a focus on literacy education and math fundamentals. Proficiency in the use of various learning technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement. Familiarity with special education practices and child study team referral Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners using differentiated instruction techniques. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
