An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

We are seeking a part-time Mandarin teacher (language specialist) to join our multilingual school (Japanese, Chinese, and English) for the Elementary program for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will be in our mixed-age (1st-3rd grade) Lower Elementary program . Also, this position may be a possibility for a full-time position depending on performance. Qualifications (Chinese Language Specialist)
•1 Position Chinese (Mandarin) language proficiency Ability to communicate effectively in English in person Experience working with children, especially Elementary age Experience teaching children in Mandarin, especially Elementary age Committed to dual language education and Montessori philosophy Committed to cultivating long-term relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Desire to learn and grow as a teacher; Openness to the analysis of their teaching, to feedback, collaboration, and commitment Authorized to work in the United States (VISA sponsorship is not available) Schedule 4-hour Shift 8:00 am
