In this dynamic role, you will create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional development, and foundational skills essential for future academic success. Your passion for early childhood education will help shape confident, joyful learners ready to embrace their next adventure. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and creative play. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that support social-emotional growth and respect among students. Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and tailor instruction to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student progress, behavioral insights, and ways to support learning at home. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student activities, assessments, and incidents. Implement classroom routines that promote independence, responsibility, and cooperation among young children. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certifications. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; familiarity with toddler care and childhood development is highly valued. Demonstrated success in curriculum development, lesson planning, and delivering instruction in early childhood education or preschool teaching environments. Knowledge of special education strategies, early intervention techniques, and standardized testing methods relevant to early learners. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and collaboration with colleagues. Classroom experience managing diverse student needs while fostering an inclusive learning environment. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in child welfare or behavior management are advantageous. Our Pre-K Program Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten while still protecting what preschool should be; fun, playful, creative, and full of discovery. Our Pre-K children work on skills such as: Letter and sound awareness Early writing and name recognition Early math and science concepts Listening and following multi-step directions Cooperation and social problem-solving Independence and classroom responsibility Fine-motor development Creative thinking and curiosity We aren't looking for someone who wants to turn preschool into elementary school.
