Duties Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental needs. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management and social-emotional support strategies. Utilize educational technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences. Monitor student progress regularly through assessments, standardized testing, and performance data analysis to tailor instruction accordingly. Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support student growth, including those with special education needs or autism spectrum disorder. Incorporate differentiated instruction techniques to meet individual learning needs and promote inclusive education. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, behavior reports, and other administrative documentation in compliance with educational regulations. Requirements Valid certification as a 2nd Grade Classroom Teacher or equivalent credential. Proven classroom experience working with elementary school students, particularly in early childhood education settings. Strong knowledge of curriculum implementation, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and childhood development principles. Experience integrating learning technology and educational software into daily lessons. Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher conferences and team collaboration. Ability to adapt teaching strategies based on student learning styles and progress monitoring data. Familiarity with behavior management techniques, special education practices, and working with children with diverse needs including those requiring early intervention or private school experience.
