Job Description

St. John the Beloved School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic fifth grade educator. Position Overview Teach fifth grade students for the full academic year Plan and deliver engaging, intellectually stimulating instruction in ELA and SS Foster inquiry, creativity, and joyful learning Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment Support the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students Communicate professionally with students, families, colleagues, and administration Collaborate with parents/guardians to ensure the developmental success of every child Commit to ongoing professional growth Model and promote the mission and charism of the school Other duties as needed per the direction of the principal Catholic Identity Commitment Support the teachings, values, and traditions of the Catholic Church Contribute to the faith life of the school community Uphold the ministry of Catholic education in word and example Qualifications Elementary teaching certification and classroom experience in fifth grade Strong classroom management, curriculum implementation, and student progress monitoring Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and use educational technology effectively Collaboration with families, teachers, and administrators; strong communication skills Experience with standardized testing, early literacy, and developing engaging lesson plans Knowledge of child development, early intervention, and inclusive education practices Mentoring, curriculum development, and ability to support students with varying needs

From $42,000.00 per year
