St. Francis Hospital

• Purpose:
• To transport patients and equipment safely throughout the St. Francis Medical Center campus.
• As a Transporter you Will.
• + Observe for and report safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.

+ Transport patients on stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported.

+ Promptly report any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.

+ Cooperatively assist in lifting patients in and out of beds as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.

+ Clean wheelchairs and ensures that each area has an adequate number.

+ Keep incident log of transports.

• Minimum Qualifications
• + HS diploma or equivalency (required) + CPR Certification- issue by AHA + Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed during onboarding once hired)
