Kendall Christian School Position Overview:

Kendall Christian School is seeking to hire a highly qualified Kindergarten Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year . This 10-month position will be fostering a positive school climate, and enhancing the educational experience for students. The ideal candidate is passionate about education and committed to upholding the values and mission of our Christian community. Our school provides strong instruction in core academics combined with a project-based learning approach that encourages critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. The Kindergarten Teacher provides a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered classroom environment while supporting the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of young students.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or related field. Certified or Certifiable with the Florida Department of Education Demonstrate a mature personal Christian faith consistent with Kendall Christian School's Statement of Faith and be an active member of a Christian church.

• Incorporate hands-on learning, technology, and creative instructional strategies.
• Commitment to student-centered learning.
• Develop weekly and long-term lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and developmental needs of students.
• Identify students needing additional academic or behavioral support and collaborate on intervention strategies. Support foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
• Possess solid communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong organizational skills.
• Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth.
• Patience, creativity and enthusiasm.
• Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety at all times
• Follow school policies, health and safety regulations, and child protection guidelines
• Maintain personal and professional development plans to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support classroom and school-wide goals.

English & Spanish Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand and move around the classroom for extended periods.

Position Type and Benefits Info:

Full Time Position 10 Month Position (August - May) 70% of employee health care cost is paid by the employer. Up to 5% matched annually towards retirement fund. 50% reduction in tuition for children of KCS employees.
