We are specifically looking for educators who are comfortable working with students across upper elementary and middle school grade levels, approximately Grades 3-8 . Depending on the candidate's background, strengths, and the needs of the school, teaching assignments may be within upper elementary, middle school, or a combination of grade levels. This opportunity is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working with different age groups, is confident in the classroom, and is comfortable adapting their teaching style as students progress from elementary into middle school. We are looking for educators who can provide engaging instruction, maintain a structured and positive classroom environment, build strong relationships with students, and work collaboratively with other teachers and school leadership. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction Teach students within assigned upper elementary and/or middle school grade levels Adapt instruction based on student age, ability level, and individual learning needs Differentiate lessons to support students with varying academic strengths and areas of need Maintain a positive, organized, structured, and safe classroom environment Establish clear classroom expectations and utilize effective classroom management strategies Assess student understanding and monitor academic progress Provide meaningful feedback and academic support to students Communicate professionally and consistently with parents and families regarding student progress Collaborate with other teachers, administration, and support staff Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and other required activities Follow established curriculum expectations, school policies, and professional standards Demonstrate flexibility regarding grade-level assignments based on school and student needs Perform other reasonable instructional and school-related responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Candidates with a bachelor's degree in Education may qualify without a Florida Teaching Certificate Candidates whose bachelor's degree is not in Education must hold a valid Florida Teaching Certificate Previous classroom teaching experience preferred Experience working with students in Grades 3-8 strongly preferred Candidates should be comfortable teaching within more than one grade level Strong classroom management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to plan engaging and age-appropriate instruction Ability to differentiate instruction and support varying student needs Strong organizational and time-management skills Dependable, professional, collaborative, and adaptable Strong spoken and written English required What We're Looking For We are particularly interested in teachers who are flexible regarding grade level and comfortable working with both upper elementary and middle school students. The ideal candidate understands that teaching a 3rd or 4th grade student can look very different from teaching a 7th or 8th grade student and is able to adjust their classroom management, communication, and instructional approach accordingly. Candidates do not necessarily need to have taught every grade from 3rd through 8th. We are looking for educators with a strong teaching foundation who would be comfortable being considered for different grade-level assignments based on their experience, strengths, and the needs of the school.
