Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated, passionate 4th Grade ELA Teacher to join our elementary team for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will foster a literacy-rich classroom environment that builds strong reading comprehension, writing fluency, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for reading using state standards and benchmark-aligned curricula.
Key Responsibilities Instructional Delivery:
Plan, internalize, and deliver engaging, standards-based ELA lessons aligned with Florida's
B.E.S.T. ELA
standards.
Data-Driven Instruction:
Analyze formal and informal student assessment data (including FAST PM benchmarks) to differentiate instruction, run small guided reading groups, and provide targeted interventions.
Classroom Management:
Uphold a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom culture that supports academic achievement and social-emotional growth.
Parent & Community Communication:
Maintain active, weekly communication with parents and guardians regarding student academic progress and reading growth.
Professional Collaboration:
Participate actively in weekly grade-level team meetings, professional development workshops, and school community events.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Required).
Certification:
Valid Florida Educator Certificate or Temporary Certificate in Elementary Education (K-6) or English (5-9) with Reading Endorsement/Coverage (Preferred).
Clearance:
Successful completion of a Florida Level 2 background screening.
Experience:
Prior K-12 instructional experience and familiarity with
