Job Description

Sage Dental is seeking an Endodontic Dental Assistant to support our specialty team within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide chairside assistance for root canals and other endodontic procedures, prepare operatories, take digital radiographs, and ensure strict adherence to infection control standards. You'll help educate patients, document care in our electronic systems, and coordinate with a collaborative clinical team. Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance for endodontic procedures including root canals and retreatments Prepare operatories, instruments, and materials following strict infection control and sterilization protocols Take and process dental radiographs and CBCT images as directed by the endodontist Document treatment notes accurately in the electronic health record system Educate patients on post-operative instructions and oral care related to endodontic treatment Support patient flow through efficient room turnover and appointment preparation Coordinate with front office on scheduling, treatment planning, and insurance-related information Maintain inventory of endodontic supplies and report needs to the clinical lead or practice manager Required Skills Endodontic assisting Dental radiography Four-handed dentistry Infection control Chairside charting (EHR) Impression taking Sterilization protocols Dental materials handling Patient scheduling (practice software) Medical/dental terminology
