Job Summary Family of Christ Christian School, a Christ-centered K-8 school in Tampa, is seeking a full-time Kindergarten Teacher to join our team beginning January 4, 2027. This is a midyear hire to fill an opening for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year, with the opportunity to continue on in future years. This is a great opportunity for an educator who wants to nurture young learners' academic, social, and physical growth in a warm, faith-based classroom environment. Family of Christ Christian School serves students from 18 months through 8th grade. We integrate Christian faith into every part of the school day and are committed to academic excellence alongside spiritual growth. Responsibilities Instruct and nurture Kindergarten students across all subject areas, following Florida Sunshine State Standards and our approved curriculum Create a classroom environment that promotes academic, physical, and social development Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons, using a variety of teaching methods suited to young learners Maintain accurate student records and track progress using Rediker grading software Communicate regularly with parents on student progress Supervise students during classroom time, activities, lunch, and drills Model Christian love, faith, and character for students both in and out of the classroom Participate in weekly staff devotions and support the school's mission Requirements Committed Christian with sound Christian character and witness; in agreement with Family of Christ's Statement of Faith Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience or working knowledge of early childhood/Kindergarten instruction preferred Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills Passion for educating young children in a Christian environment Current teaching certificate Details Full-time, midyear hire for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year Start date: January 4, 2027
